Schools are now required to refuse requests for holiday absence in term time and, in accordance with Westmorland & Furness School Absence Enforcement Policy, parents may be issued with a penalty notice if a leave of absence is taken without permission or is unauthorised. If it is absolutely necessary to take your child out of school during term time, you must complete a Notification of Leave of Absence form to advise school of the absence.
